I am getting excessive digital noise when headphones are used

Swift X Laptop. Plugging headphones into the 3.5mm jack socket produces excessive digital noise/interference to be produced through them that gets worse when the mouse is moved, screen is scrolled and external PSU is plugged in. I have tried it with several sets of headphones and they are all the same. I have uninstalled and re-installed the Realtek drivers with no success, so am reaching the conclusion its a design problem. Has anybody had a similar problem to this?

Try different sound settings (see picture) for headphone (disable Spatial Audio), disable the 2 options in Exclusive mode (see picture). Try different sound frequencies, make sure you select headset in Windows after plugging in the audio jack and repeat that in Realtek Audio Console.

Verify first that the plug is fully seated. Remember also that there are different plug types for headphones and headsets.

A symptom of using the wrong jack type can be noise from improper grounding by connecting the ground through the mic connection. Also having the plug not fully seated allows the plug contact to potentially connect to two signals in the jack, which can also cause noise.
