A few weeks ago my helios 300 model name PH317-54 performance got very bad. I could play games like R6 siege, but now I can't run simple games without fps drops. I don't know if my computer broke or what's the problem.

[Edited the thread to add model name]

I am not a gamer and a strong believer in system management. Check Task Manager Performance tab what is running above average, if your memory is >50% of total RAM you have too much running, disable Startup apps and check the programs in the Processes tab, uninstall what you don't need like Avast, McAfee, Norton, etc., run Storage Sence and scan/delete files you forgot about, click on the Temp bin at the bottom of Storage Sense and it may find 100s of GBs Windows update files like OldDos, delete all that (will take a while). Trim your SSD,s defrag the HDD. Go online, verify Internet is working and paste this line in the command prompt opened as administrator:
    Dism.exe /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
This must complete successfully, rerun if not. Then paste this in the same window:
    SFC /scannow
This will repair corrupted system files that slows down your laptop, rerun till you see "no violations"

Update Windows, check Event Viewer for new critical errors, check the kernel problem reports in Security and maintenance>maintenance>Reliability Monitor>Problem reports. Open device manager and check for yellow exclamation marks and Unknown Devices, including the hidden devices, uninstall all rogue drivers those will slow you down a lot. Reboot.

Open Task Manager and check your RAM speed if that has changed, memory in use should not exceed 50% of total RAM, uninstall all Startup apps in the Startup tab, check programs in the Processes tab if you see apps you don't need or forgot about like Avast, McAfee, Norton and the like. Uninstall trial versions like Office 356 as they monitor your system and slows it down, Don't use Cloud or One Drive (Office) if you don't really need those, Use Edge and Windows Defender.

Open Storage Sense to scan your drives and delete unnecessary files, click on the Temp. bin icon at the bottom of Storage Sense and scan all temporary folders, it may find 100s of GBs old Windows update records like OldDos, delete everything. Finally trim your SSDs and defrag your HDD.

So I followed the guide through and my benchmark is good, but still playing on the lowest settings I can't get over 60 fps on Rainbow Six siege.
