HI, I'm trying to connect my ACER Full HD 27 gaming monitor to my Alienware Aurora R7 (2018) gaming PC. Can anyone tell me what sort of cable I need to get?

Many thanks

    An HDM! 2.1 cable:

    • Introduced in 2017 (the current HDMI standard).
    • 48Gbps transmission bit rate.
    • Native support for 4K/8K resolutions at 120fps/60fps, respectively.
    • Dynamic HDR support.

It depends on the monitor model with which ports are included and the Alienware model with which ports are included on it. Best is to match port types, so a DP to DP cable or an HDMI to HDMI cable. The R7 models came with a bunch of different GPU cards, so you will have to actually look at what ports are on yours. Most likely you have DP on both…
