Hello. I've got my acer nitro 5 AN517-55 almost a month ago and i've been running into this problem. After 3-4 hours of running the laptop, it starts micro freezing/stuttering. It's like it freezes for a split of second every 3-5 seconds. It happens anywhere, while gaming, while just simply moving the cursor and it's really irritating.

It gets fixed only after rebooting, but it's also annoying to reboot every time this problem starts happening.

Specs:

core i5 12500H

16 gb ram

rtx 3050

256gb factory SSD

500gb KINGSTON SNV2S500G SSD

    Hi @TheLaptopAddict,

    Make sure your AN517-55 has the latest version of BIOS (2.05) and VBIOS (135A) installed:

    Do these steps:

    • Extract these file in a temporary folder in your Desktop;
    • Open this folder, locate the file Jimny_ADH_Ignis_ADH_VBIOS_V104a.bat;
    • Right-click on it, then select Run as Administrator.

    yep, it said: Fail: This VBIOS update file does NOT support your graphic card.

    In this case, this patch does not apply to your AN517-55.

    I have exactly the same problem with AN515-58. Only rebooting laptop fixes it. When the stutter begins in any game it keeps happening everywhere. I tried everything but no luck.

    Please notify me if you solve this.

    Hi @TheLaptopAddict,

    After updating the BIOS, have you tried updating the drivers to the latest versions? Please, press Win + R keys (Execute), type: perfmon /rel <press Enter>, and then check what errors are occurring in Windows.

    Thanks for info,

    Try temporarily uninstalling these programs:

    • Acer Care Center (ACCStd)
    • InstalledPackagesAgent

    And then check if the problem persists. You can also click on "View all problem report" for a complete list of errors that are occurring on the system.

    I reinstalled both of them and still didn't get fixed.

    I didn't restart though

    The suggestion is to uninstall and "keep" these programs uninstalled. To try identify and isolate the problem. 😉

    @TheLaptopAddict buddy I think I solved my problem by uninstalling Geforce Experience. I don't have the stuttering issue since then. I think it helps.

    But unfortunately I have another problem like edges of distance objects in games shimmering/vibrating. Not that bothering like stuttering though. Tried every settings in games, refresh rates and stuff in windows and nvidia control panel but no luck.
