Acer Nitro 5 AN515-45: GPU Driver Downgrade?

I have a Acer Nitro 5 (Nitro AN515-45) with AMD processor and a 3060 GPU. It is running Win 10 with the 30.0.15.1274 GPU drivers. However, the Acer driver page recommends the older 27.21.14.5771 driver for Windows 10, with the 30.0.15.1274 recommended for Win. 11.

So, is it better to run the older, but recommended, driver for this laptop? Eg. will I experience Hardware issues with the downgraded driver?

I am asking as I am having some GPU heat issues and I am wondering if it could be related to the “incorrect” driver version.

Thanks

It could be, as some BIOS versions are also reported to be retracted by Acer because of power and overheating issues in W11. Download the latest W11 NVIDIA GPU driver and install that, just click on update driver in Device Manager and point to the expanded zip folder with the .inf file, or right click on the setup.exe fil4 and select run as administrator. Your present GPU driver version may have been directly installed from the NVIDIA site. If you have display issues after installing or yellow exclamation marks in Device manager after Display adapter, NVIDIA, use DDU in Safe Mode to uninstall, reboot and let Windows11 find and install the best driver.
