Hello,

I have an Acer Aspire 5 a515-54g-53gp, with Windows 11.

I'm having some problems with sound, every so often the sound stops working after I come back to computer after it was in suspension (sleep, f1 key).

I always have to reboot PC for the sound to come back, quite annoying.

Also, my headphones do not appear in output when I press the sound label, it appears only speakers as in the photo below. Is there a way to separate them? I'm not sure, but I think when I was using Windows 10 I could choose from where the sound output would come.

That beep is the internal power sound, I have exactly the same model laptop (but without SSD only 1TB HDD on W11 22H2) and had major issues with my Realtek ALC255 chipset drivers in W10. I finally got it to work by uninstalling the RTK drivers (incl. RTK audio console) in Safe Mode with DDU (downloaded from Wagnardsoft.com). Windows11 22H2 still has that prompt when you insert a 2.5mm RCA audio jack in the port:

So you have either the wrong RTK driver/Console or your W11 is not properly installed, did you upgrade with W10 WAU (Update app) or did you do a Clean W11 install with ISO and USB?

Try to uninstall with DDU. Install the RTK Console from Acer Support, look for this version (see picture below) or update the Console first and if no improvement then uninstall the RTK drivers with DDU.
