As title says…

The power button on the keyboard works and the keyboard does not work in UEFI environment either.

USB keyboard works fine

Installed all updates and drivers and still not working

OS is now Win 11

    Thanks for your reply

It's a laptop so it's not a USB keyboard that's the issue - it's the in built keyboard.

I don't think it's a hardware fault as it was working until installed the new OS fresh.

I know there are issues with the touchpad drivers and it's affected modelsin the past, I just can't remember the fix

You said that the keyboard does not work in BIOS:

    Disable Fast Boot in BIOS.
Fast Boot causes USB devices to load after OS boot and not before the BIOS loads. Hence, if the Fast Boot option is enabled, you may encounter the laptop keyboard not working in BIOS issue. For that, you need to disable Fast Boot.

Boot to Safe Mode with your USB KB (Shift+Restart>Troubleshoot>Restart>F4 or 4>Safe Mode). See if the laptop KB is working in Safe Mode. If OK it is a driver issue not a loose cable. Still in Safe Mode In Device Manager, uninstall Standard PS/2 keyboard and reboot. Windows11 will install the driver again.

If none of these methods worked, I suggest doing a Clean Install of Windows11 again, follow this tutorial carefully:
