My Acer Spin 513 CP513-2H-K486 Update causes apps to glitch/restart

My Acer Spin 513 128gb 8gb chromebook ( CP513-2H-K486) was running like a dream until it asked me to do an update to improve app performance ( said I had to do this within 30 days)

and now when i leave apps running minimised and then open them or lift lid to come out of sleep, there's a good chance they glitch, freeze or restart. Which never happened before So I would recommend you avoid this update if you can. Anybody else having this issue ? Is there a fix on the way ?
some others reported this on a chrome OS forum suggested restarting the Android VM but this doesn't work .

So you look like you are on the current version. My guess is Google has introduced a bug and they'll get it fixed reasonably quickly. You might just roll back if possible until they get it working right again.
