Hi. Month ago my CPU fan died and since i was at work i couldn't change him. I kept using laptop cuz GPU fan was enought to cool down both cpu and gpu. An week ago i bought new CPU and GPU fans ( GPU fan was also in dying condition ) and replaced them. After 4 days of normal work, CPU fan started turning off randomly. After 5-10s of being shutdown he started work again and it started to happen more and more often. On another day he keeps shuting down everysingle time when he reaches ~3800rpm and on another day he just stoped work at all. Sadly now i'm not able to open laptop and check him phisicly. Im curious if it might be some software issue or i just have bad luck and another fan died.

Also i checked a lot of forum posts and i couldn't find anyone with similar problem :(

Bring/send the laptop to Acer Services in your country as this may have another cause than just the fans failing.

Just in addition, so please check these factors out too. What GPU does your PH316-51 have? Did you by the correct fan for the GPU that your PH315-51 has? This Predator laptop model comes with either a GTX1050 that has these fans below:

Or the GTX1060 has different fans, the two fans are different type of fans, check the fans that you bought as that could be the problem why they are not working properly. The fans in your laptop, on the other hand, can report their speeds (RPM) by using some internal sensors that report how often some current flows between two plates. Fans are built assuming nominal voltages and a continuous signal. When voltages are lowered or modulated through PWM, some fans are no longer able to properly trigger when those plates face each other and resulting fan speeds may show odd values which could be the fault in your laptop and you need an experienced technician to diagnose the motherboard and pin point the exact problem why the fans don't work properly.

Well i searched fans by serial numbers. Interesting thing is that i recived 2 plastic fans ( not metal and plastic ), but since i had only a few free days before work ( truck driver ) i plug this 2 fans. As i said, they worked perfectly for a few days and this is kinda weird. I will send my predator to acer service as soon as i come back home but for now i think i cant do anything :c
