Nitro 5 AN515-57-57G2 Ram Error previous got bugged

Laptop: Nitro 5 AN515-57-57G2

Hi, so my laptop came with 8gb ram and I opened the task manager and checked it was 3200mhz.

I wanted to upgrade it to 16gb ram ,so I purchased 2x crucial 8gb 3200mhz ram and installed it in my laptops and obviously removed the old ram which came with the laptop.

After turning the laptop on and checking the speed of ram it was only showing 2933mhz. I mean wtf, I spend extra to match the manufacturer and still it making issues, I tried fix it from bios and couldn't find anyway (XMP) to make the speed go up to 3200mhz

what should I do Now, should I return both the rams and purchase a single 16gb ram or will still make issues after adding single 1x 16gb ram and not go up to 3200mhz

How did you check the clock speed before with 1 x 8GB, maybe you were reading the frequency of the module, may be this was a 2Rx module (dual rank)?

Why did you not just add 1 x 8GB to slot 2 with exactly the same specs as the original 1 x 8GB in slot 1? You are running in Dual Channel Mode 2933 Mhz and that may be the maximum clock speed of the Intel CPU. Check that with CPU-Z freeware.

Follow this as I've got a Nitro 5 and you got the wrong spec ram from Crucial, you didn't need to get a new kit of 2x 8GB DDR4 ram (its advantageous to have 2x similar and matched pairs of ram modules) but just adding another 1x 8GB DDR4-32000MHz CL22 was all that you needed to do, install CPUz and see the specs of the existing 8GB DDR4-3200MHz CL22 ram and match that ram with another 8GB DDR4 module of the same,

The Nitro AN515-57 memory specs are DDR4-3200MHz CL22 the CAS# Latency (CL) is the important spec that you have to match, as your Crucial ram must be different CAS# Latency (CL), install CPUz and you will see the below Memory and SPS Slot #1 specs with the Acer fitted oem ram for your laptop. Change the current Crucial ram and do a Crucial System Scan of your laptop, as that scan will tell you all the appropriate ram that Crucial makes that is compatible with your laptop and the PCIe SSD drives.

This is the 8GB exact spec ram that you need for your AN515-57, so change the Crucial 2x ram kit that you got to the exact and below specs, as the below specs work at 2x 8GB total of 16GB 100% and perfectly.
