Yesterday I was on my laptop when I opened up a game. Everything was normal until I got screen tearing, so I powered down tried to turn it on but the is now always black and I don't hear the fans even though the light indicates it's on and the keyboard lights up. I found a lot of solutions online and none of them worked.

I tried to plug it into an external monitor, but the screen was also still black. I let it off for about an hour without the power cord, turned it on, nothing. I know it's not malaware because I got the aforementioned game from steam and have already put like 60 hours into it and haven't seen anything like this before except for around 30 minutes prior where it powered on normally. It's important to note I spilled soda on it 10 minutes before the first the first instance but I cleaned it all up rather quickly and both instances only occurred during the same game shortly after opening so it'd be a crazy coincidence. I don't know if this is also a factor but the game was installed to an external hard drive. I think it has to be a software problem because

Try to place you computer on a different spot. It happened to me several times and all i was supposed to do for my Nitro 5 to work was to put him on a different desk. try it, it should work. And if not try to restart it by holding the On/Off button.

It didn't work. I think there's a problem with it booting up because I don't get the logo or any kind of start up. BIOS doesn't work, safe mode doesn't work, just black screen. Doesn't matter if it's plugged in or unplugged. It can't be a broken screen because it won't work when plugged into a monitor. Turnung off or on doesn't fix it. Like I said I think it's a startup problem.

Best bringing the laptop to Acer Services in your country and mention the fluid spilled on your keyboard, your motherboard may be busted 😐️
