Acer Aspire E 15 E5-575G-57D4 How to fix visual artifacts caused by NVIDIA GPU

First time poster here.

I have an Acer Aspire E 15 E5-575G-57D4. Intel Core i5 with NVIDIA GeForce 940MX. All of a sudden whenever I use an application that uses GPU, I see visual artifacts pop up. I have checked and the drivers are up to date. Below is an example in the League of Legends client.

Any suggestions? I have checked dxdiag and I have version 12, seems there are no problems with "Display" or "Render" but in "Render" I see that current display mode, monitor, and HDR are all N/A. I have also taken the laptop apart and cleaned the fan. I am starting to think that the GPU may just be at the end of its life. The severity also varies.

If possible, please post a phone photo and a screenshot of the exact same screen when this happens.
