My nitro 5 isn't turning on when unplugged.

I had my laptop for one year and a half now and never had any problems with it. I upgraded the ram and the SSD two months ago, and it was working perfectly. Today I noticed that I cannot use the laptop without plugging it in because it will immediately shut off when unplugged and won't turn on without the charger.

Do you have any idea what I can do to fix the problem and to see if my battery is defective or not?

Thank you

Open the laptop and disconnect the battery cable connector to the motherboard, press the Power Button and keep that button pressed down (don't toggle) for a full 2 minutes, then wait a while. Reconnect the battery, close the back and try to boot. If still no luck, plug in the adapter and boot to Windows, restart in Safe Mode (Shift+Restart) or open Device Manager in Windows, uninstall the 2 battery drivers:

Reboot and shutdown again, unplug your adapter and boot to see if the problem is fixed. If still no luck you have a battery problem. Create a battery report and check what the present full charge capacity is, you may have to replace your battery if too low. Paste this in the Command Prompt and open (double click) the report on your Desktop.

    powercfg /batteryreport /output %USERPROFILE%\Desktop\battery_report.html
