VG240Y - flickering bar going down the screen

I've had my monitor for a while now, but it recently developed a flickering line down the screen. it's not from the gpu as the line is still present when there is no display output. phisically, i don't see any signs of damage at all. It started as about 1/8th of the bar while i was studying and it 'grew' overtime to the full monitor height.

Try to change the cable and check if that does not work , than it could be a hardware issue
