After the Windows 11 update, it asks for a pin every time even though it reads the fingerprint.

Normally, when I try a fingerprint that is not registered, it warns that the fingerprint is not recognized. When I try to log in with the finger with the registered fingerprint, it recognizes the finger but asks for a pin every time. That's why I'm pretty sure it's not the fingerprint recognition sensor. I tried resetting the pin and reinstalling windows hello and the laptop unlocks with the fingerprint until it restarts. But when it restarts it asks for the pin again.

This means that the Windows update failed to istall properly.

If you have a Microsoft account, go to https://account.microsoft.com/account login with your password and reset your PIN.

If you only have a local account, you have to restore your system to an earlier point before the update in Safe Mode, this method will ask for your password, if you forgot your password you have to use the USB recovery flash drive (borrow one from a W11 user)

Boot and when you see the Acer logo press Alt+F10, this will show the blue screen asking for your password, then navigate to the Troubleshoot screen, here are options to uninstall the last update and to do a system restore but I recommend selecting Restart and you will get 10+ options how to start, type 4 or F4 and you will start in Safe Mode. Once in safe mode you can edit your login method, uninstall the last update or system restore to an earlier point. Below a link with instructions how to do that with a USB drive if you forgot your password:

Yes, it's unlikely to be the fingerprint driver, but instead your setting for Windows. Open the setting for Windows Hello under Accounts Sign-in Options.

If you have a Microsoft account, go to: HTTPs://account.microsoft.com/account and reset your pin.

I am experiencing the same situation. Our devices share the same model, the Swift X. Since the April update, the fingerprint sensor has been reporting error #45 in the Device Manager. I earnestly hope that the official support can resolve this issue promptly, as my online research indicates that a considerable number of Acer machines have recently been encountering problems with fingerprint recognition.

Is yours a SFX14-41G model? There are several different Swift X 14 models with pretty big differences (like Intel vs AMD). Error 43 is a generic 'I can't figure this out' error, typically caused by garbled data on the internal USB port that handles data transfer from the device to the system.
