Hello, i am reporting this problem that happened to me today. I have windows 11

Yesterday i was playing with my wireless Xbox Controller then i went to sleep.

Next day (today) i turned on my laptop because i was looking to connect my headphones. but the headphones did not appear in the "Add a device" window and i was like: what the hell and then i ran the troubleshooter and it said "The device does not have bluetooth, Try using an external adapter to add Bluetooth functionality to the device." and i was shocked

Soon i tried litteraly EVERYTHING to solve the problem (ex: reinstalling drivers, rebooting computer, etc) and i still can't though. Does someone have the same problem and/or a solution?

If this is the new Aspire 3 Intel, Windows11 manages all drivers, don't install drivers manually as Windows will just replace those. Open Services and check if you see if these top 2 are running:

If you see no BT service your BT drivers are not properly installed or corrupted. There are MediaTek and Intel Bluetooth adapters in Aspire 3 models, I don't know which BT adapter you have, but you need to uninstall it.

Open Device Manager and check for yellow exclamation marks that indicate driver issues. Uninstall all those including greyed-out devices and Unknown Devices, also check the Hidden devices (click on the menu Show hidden devices in View) and uninstall those Unknown and with the yellow marks too, expand the devices to see all the drivers.

Click on the Bluetooth adapter in Device Manager and if there is a driver (Intel or MediaTek), uninstall that driver.

Reboot and Windows11 will reinstall everything. Sometimes it takes a bit long if there are compatibility issues with a MediaTek adapter and Windows has to find a Microsoft BT driver, just wait and make sure you are always online, and Internet is working OK. This Windows11 tutorial tells you how to turn on Bluetooth:

Please type @Puraw at the top of your reply so I get an alert, thanks.

Uninstall the "Unknown device" as well as all other Unknown devices, not W11 compatible. Reboot and a new device will be installed.
