Why is my acer nitro 5 AN515-55 heating up so much?

My acer nitro 5 heats upto 90-92 degrees while playing Assassin's Creed Brotherhood; a game that is over a decade old. I've tried lowering the maximum processor state to 99% and increasing the minimum processor state [ on battery ] to 99%. I've also tried underclocking using throttle stop, used a cooling pad and also cleared out dust from the fans but nothing seems to work. I've had it for over a year now. What should I do?

The Nitro 5 laptops are made to run hot as its a gaming laptop, they have a power off switch of the OS at 100⁰C. Also use the Nvidia GeForce Experience software as its got the ultimate settings for the Assassin's Creed Brotherhood game, that will assist in reducing temps, so use that. Don’t change anything of the cpu or gpu settings like, reducing volts and maximum processor state, as you can do more damage than improve anything, leave all settings at default as these laptops don't need overclocking or any voltage and cpu % state reductions.

For the Nitro 5 laptops you need to have its latest Nvidia gpu driver, set NVidia Control Panel at Program Settings to High-performance NVidia processor for games, install the GeForce Experience software and play your games through that software as its got ultimate game settings for over 1500 games, you also need to have all windows up to date and also install the latest Intel drivers with Intel® Driver & Support Assistant. Doing all that will make your laptop perform at its best. I know as I’ve got a Nitro 5 laptop and that’s what I’ve done and temps at 90-92⁰C have never been any problems.
