Hi, I just purchased an Acer laptop

Model: Acer nitro 5 "AN515-57-57G2"

The laptop currently have 8gb ram and 512gb ssd. I'm willing to upgrade it to 16gb ram by adding a additional 8gb ram, can someone confirm, I'm buying the right ram with 3200mhz speed

2nd thing is that, how much storage I can add, I willing to add a 2tb ssd nvme in the 2nd slot and once again can someone confirm will the SSD mentioned below will work and fit properly "it's a 2nd 2tb nmve"

And also can i add a 480gb "2.5 ssd" in the bay slot.

Total storage: 1st slot 512gb for windows

2nd slot "nmve 2Tb for storage"

3rd bay slot "2.5' ssd 480gb"

[Edited the thread to add model name to the title and issue detail]

Just to explain to you what your laptop specs are and how you can get the best performance out of your AN515-57. The Nitro AN515-57 laptop can have a max total of 64GB ram (see specs below), your oem Acer 1x 8GB DDR4=3200MHz CL22 ram is running in single channel which is not the best for Win-11 to function properly, as Dual Channel (2x 8GB DDR4-3200Mhz or 2x 16, 2x 32 as shown in the chart below) which is the quickest that Win-11 can utilize for operation and gaming. Your laptop should have at least 16GB (2x 8GB DDR4-3200Mhz CL22) or preferably and 32GB (2x 16GB DDR4-3200MHz or 64GB (2x 32 DDR4-3200MHz) spec ram.

The list of drives that you have above, and you want to fit into this laptop will work and the 480gb "2.5 ssd" will work 100% in the 2,5" laptop slot with the provided SATA kit of your laptop into the 2.5" bay slot. Remember that the M.2 SSD drives that your laptop operates with is the M.2 SSD PCIe Gen.3x4. Also remember that this laptops SSD#1 slot runs at PCIe3x4 max 3500MB/s read/write speeds while SSD #2 slot runs slower and at max and about 2200MB/s read/write speeds and the 2.5" SATA III runs at max 600MB/s read/write, I know this as I have a Nitro 5 AN515-56 (i7-11370H-RTX3050 and 32GB DDR4-3200MHz CL22 ram) which runs 2x M.2 SSDs and 1x 2.5" SATA III 2TB spinner Seagate Barracuda drive and runs perfectly with all these drives and is the same spec laptop basically as the AN515-57.

I'm running the 1TB M.2 SSD WD SN750 Black in SSD #1 slot as a boot drive and the other same drive 1TB WD SN750 Black (which is wasted in SSD #2 slot) as the SSD #2 slot can never ever utilize the max PCIe3x4 speeds of 3500MB/s speed and the 2TB SATA III in the 2.5" bay slot, the SSD #2 slot benchmarking result with CrystalDiskMark at 1GiB tests run at and between 1800MB/s to 2200MB/s max read/write speeds, while the same exact drive in the boot SSD#1 slot runs at 3500MB/s constantly, so remember that.

With the drives formats, this laptop can operate under GUID (GPT) format on any size M.2 or SATA III type drives that you can buy today, but under the MBR/Legacy format these drives are restricted to 2TB max, this is the windows formatting rules. hard drives. The best and quickest M.2 SSD PCIe3x4 drives are either the WD SN750 Black or the Samsung 970 EVO Plus drives. Also, don't fit the M.2 SSD drives of the PCIe4x4 specs, as its a waste of money and your laptop will never ever utilize these drives max 5500MB/s read/write speeds, as your laptop AN515-57 max SSD #1 slot (which is the boot drive slot) is restricted to PCIe3x4 that operates at a max 3500MB/s read/write. Good luck and hope this helps you out.
