The USB 3.2 Gen 2 is NOT a port that can be used for "As An Image OUT Port" and will not work if a hub is connected to it with an HDMI port and a monitor is connected to this hub, the only way that you will get an image is to connect your external monitor to the Swift 3 P314-41 laptops HDMI port directly.

The other TravelMate P215-52 supports image out within its USB-C because it has a "USB Type-C port with DC-in" - which this port connects to the provided USB Type-C power adapter and to USB devices with a USB Type-C connector and Supports DisplayPort ™ over USB-C™. as the Acer Swift P314-41 does not have this type of USB-C type port, as its got the HDMI for display output.

    TravelMate P215-52 USB-C - USB Type-C information
    • USB 3.1 Gen 1 with transfer speeds up to 5 Gbps.
    Supports DisplayPort ™ audio/video output.
    • Delivers up to 3 A at 5 V DC for USB charging.
    • DC-in: requires power adapter or power source providing 60 W at 5
    or 9 or 15 or 20 V.
For optimal performance, please use a certified Acer power adapter
    or USB Power Delivery device.

I don't find a Swift Swift P314-41 model anywhere. As Steven says, there's a TravelMate Swift P314-41, but I know of no Swift model number that looks like that.

OK, the spec on the Swift 3 is USB Type-C port: USB 3.1 Gen 1 (up to 5 Gbps) and in more detail:

The system block diagram doesn't show a DP signal going to the USB-C port, and since they don't call it out I expect the port doesn't support DP Alt Mode.

So, the simple USB-C to HDMI or USB-C to DP cables will not work. You need a full function dock that has it's own onboard video controller.

The TravelMate, however does support video over USB-C:

Which means the simple cable would work on it.
