ASPIRE A515-56 does not detect wifi anymore

Hello,

A couple of weeks ago, my ASPIRE A515-56 laptop has stopped detecting and connecting to wifi networks.

The laptop said I had a wifi card issue. So I brought my laptor to a local computer shop where the owner told me that it was the laptop system that led to the absence of wifi connection. It was probably an error following an update of the system.

How can I proceed to solve the issue please ?

Check in Device Manager Network adapters if you see the Intel WIFI 80211ax device, if greyed out or not present check the Hidden devices if you see the Intel adapter greyed out or with a yellow exclamation mark perhaps. After you located the WIFI Intel adapter click on properties if it is working OK and click on advanced and check the settings with this link:

Next: Run Windows Network Adapter Troubleshooter

If you still cannot connect with WIFI and you know your router is working with Ethernet and a Lan cable connected your laptop, you have to uninstall (and delete) the Intel WIFI driver with Device Manager, preferably in Safe Mode, and reboot.

If there is no Intel WIFI device anywhere to be found in Device Manager download the driver from Acer Support for your model.

If none of this helps bring your laptop to Acer Services in your country to check and/or replace the WIFI card ($20)

Hello Puraw, Thank you very much for your help.

The wifi problem has been solved !

Your indications were very clear. I followed them and the wifi worked again after I launched the trouble shooter and rebooted the laptop.

    Thanks again :)

    Have a good day
