A new (3 weeks old) Predator Orion 3000, previously working fine,

[Edited the thread to add model name]

has failed to start this morning, lights come on the tower, but no connection to the monitors, with continuous beeping.

I've checked the external cables and opened up to check the internal connections. They're all solid, but I can see two 'unattached' connectors (image). Is this the issue? They're difficult to access and I don't know how they should be fixed.

Any recommendations, please?

The black and white cables are your WI-Fi antennas. The WiFi-card in on the left lower corner of the picture. When attaching the cables to where they are supposed to be, be very careful as the connectors can break easily. Apply pressure towards the connector from direcly above the connector. It's a bit tricky, but can be done.

Most likely you are suffering from a short, that may or may have not broken something. :(

    Any updates?

Try resetting BIOS/CMOS. You could also try reseating RAM, GPU, SSD and all the cables for good measure. You may also want to remove that Wi-Fi card as it may be what is causing this.

If the PC still beebs after reseating components try one RAM stick at a time. Could be that the other one is broken. Does the "golden fingers" or RAM slots look strange or discolored? The problem could also be your motherboard, which may have shorted becasuse of the loose Wi-Fi cables.

If possible, try your components in another PC to make sure they are not faulty.

By "continuous beeping" do you mean beeeeeeeeeeeeep or beepbeepbeepbeep? The first is a memory failure at the beginning of POST and could either be a memory stick that isn't fully seated or a bad stick. If reseating the memory doesn't fix it you likely are experiencing a child failure and just contact Acer support for a fix or go back to your vendor for a machine swap. If it's the latter we need to know the pattern of the beeps to try to diagnose it.
