https://community.acer.com/en/kb/articles/11046-computer-may-hang-up-during-heavy-use-or-when-watching-video In this article it says acer has released bios v 1.15 to help this and my model was shown which is PH315-52.Im on v 1.12 and it is the latest one on the driver/bios screen for my laptop. So I'm wondering if i can use 1.15 and if my model was supposed to be mentioned in the article above.I dont want to brick the device.ANY INFO WOULD BE NICE THX SO MUCH

The article is outdated. The BIOS firmware usually doesn't resolve this problem. Overheating usually causes hanging with heavy loads. Please post screenshot of Predator Sensie fanspeed and temperature under heavy loads.

Well no need for that I have brand new fans both and put new thermal paste on about 4 months ago with artix mx5.Using throttlestop I have it undervalued -185 and -125 with no errors on all cores and or single.i think it's power limits are set 70 long 90 short with.I never have reached over 90c with any game and mostly maxed out settings except newer ones and I usually cap the frame rate to 60 or 40 on newer games just to stay below 80c.So over heating isn't an option and my thermals on cpu threads are within 4 to 5 degrees difference so the paste is working goo

It seems to be working better now.I disabled hpet timer and all synthetic timers and set timer to 0.5 with intelligent standbys list cleaner.I also noticed that using cmd.exe and the command bcd /enum,that tscsyncpolicy was set to enhanced but changing back to legacy helped and made my input less laggy.SO THX FOR THE REPLY THOUGH

FYI to avoid processor damage, CPU temps should be below 90*C & GPU below 85*C under heavy load with coolboost turn on if available in Acer Quick Access or Predator Sense apps.. If not, try raising laptop about an inch above a hard surface to promote better airflow in the air intake & out air exhaust vents.
