SYMPTOMS
Some customers have reported system hang ups or freezes during heavy use. This can happen while watching video or using any application. Restarting the computer may result in a black screen with the keyboard backlight on.
SOLUTION
Acer has released BIOS version 1.15 to resolve this issue.
- Visit the Drivers and Manuals section of the Acer support website.
- Enter your Serial Number/SNID or search for your product by Model.
- Select BIOS/Firmware.
- Click the Download link for the file you want to download (BIOS version 1.15 or later).
- Unzip the file and double-click DH53F115.exe to install the BIOS update.
The issue should be resolved once the new BIOS is installed. If you are still experiencing a problem, please contact Acer support for further assistance..
