    1. Try this. Press WIN+R. Enter msconfig.
    2. Click boot tab.
    3. Checkmark safeboot box. Click OK.
    4. Then click re-start to boot into safe mode.
    5. Then press WIN+R again in safe boot mode.
    6. Enter msconfig.
    7. Click boot tab.
    8. Uncheckmark safe boot box. Click OK.
    9. Then click re-start to boot into normal mode again..

I would try to uninstall that update, if the update is not listed under "uninstall updates", restore your system to an earlier point (date before the update): Type "Create a recovery point" in the Search bar and click on "System recovery" at the top of thar window, then select the date. If the recovery process fails do the same in Safe Mode: Shift+Click on Restart on the Power icon (in Start). Once in Safe Mode type rstrui.exe in the Command Prompt.

From the bad screen, hit a Ctrl-Alt-Del and choose Task Manager from the menu that pops up. In Task Manager choose Run a New Task. When asked what to run enter "explorer.exe" and you should get the normal screen back.
