Swift 5 SF514-54T-75FV won’t turn on?

Hi, just posting a fix to an issue I had so others can hopefully benefit from.

I have a Swift 5 SF514-54T-75FV (2020). This week I found that the laptop wouldn't turn on at all. No lights, no fan, no screen. When the power cable was plugged in, the blue power/charge light was on. The laptop had been plugged in over night also, and had been working fine without any issues before this point.

Fix:
1) Unplug everything including the power cable.

2) On the underside of the laptop, there is a battery reset button.

3) Using a pin/paper clip, hold the button down for 30 seconds.

4) Leave the laptop for 15 minutes.

5) Plug the power cable back in and turn on the laptop.

This worked for me, so hopefully works for anyone else with this issue. If not it may be that your battery will need replacing.

Thanks for passing this onto the Acer forum, very well described, as I'm sure it will help allot of others users but, other issues with NO power are not only because of a battery or just fixed by a battery rest, as there are allot of issues that happen because of internal circuitries that shorten out like a shorted high side mosfet that equals always a dead CPU or GPU in a dead laptop like you have experienced, which needs a motherboard replacement. You are very lucky that a battery reset fixed your power on issues, and that your laptops has a battery reset pin hole (which the new laptops don't) as what you have done is reset the laptops Super IO and bios chips that has fixed your problem.
