Hi,

I've been trying to remove the caps lock message that I get at the top of my screen every time I hit the caps lock key or num lock key for some time. I've tried to do my own research to no avail, was wondering if the community can help out. Thank you

I attached what the message looks like:

I have already tried uninstalling Quick Access, however, it did not change anything.

    1. Press the Windows key on the keyboard and select Settings.
    2. Click System.
    3. Choose Display and click Advanced display settings.
    4. Scroll down and select Display adapter properties.
    5. Click on Screen configurations tab. In Properties window, make sureEnable on-screen display is checked. Under "Indicator settings for NumLock and CapsLock" section, look for "While the numeric lock or caps lock is ON" section, choose the"Show the indicator for a few seconds" option.

That method is model specific though, usually it's Acer Quick Access that's turning it on, but apparently not in your case.

    Thank you but,

That did not work sorry to say, the tab you are talking about just is not there.

I read something that said "Turn off all unnecessary animations" which also did not work, but I figured out that at first when I boot up the PC it does not send a message so it makes me think it is an application that is doing it. Thank you for your help

If you uninstall Quick Access some of your function keys like Caps and Num Lock won't show anyore if these functions are open or locked; this is Acer's keyboard feature, I recommend not remove it. It is also present in your Registry, Services and Task Sceduler with an additional QAupdate agent running at the background that will reinstall Quick Access unless you remove all.

ou can also see the behavior if you have the wrong version of Acer Quick Access installed. You should have the one that Acer provides on their support site for your model and OS.
