A few days ago my laptop stoped charging. It dosnt lose battery when plugged in but just wont charge. i can do the usual stuff like web brousing, email ect ect but it wont run any games wile pluged in. a few minites after starting a game the charge indicator light turns on and off then starts flashing, the power indictor light also starts to flash and it shuts down and the charge indicator continues to flash. if i hold the power button the light stops flashing and the laptop will strt up normaly but still wont charge or run games. I tried a new charger but the same thing happens. and wierdly I tried to run games with it not plugged in and it runs prefecty. But obviously this isnt a solution when the battery wont charge. I realy hope somone can help.

    A couple of things here:

Don't press the power button while programs are open as this aborts the system and may corrupt (Sysmain) files, if you have the power button set in Advanced (Power Plan) to Sleep or Hibernate when pressed then it is OK to press the power button when programs are running.

The not charging issue indicates a battery problem, create a Battery report by typing/pasting the following line in the Command Prompt:

    powercfg /batteryreport /output %USERPROFILE%\Desktop\battery_report.html

Open the file on your desktop (double click) and see the Full Charge Capacity of the last 3 days, if no charging is recorded you have to check the battery cable connection inside. Depending how old your battery is I would replace it ($30).
