I'm having difficulty with 2 NvME ssd's installed on my laptop at the same time.

my nitro came with 256 nvme and I upgraded it to a Samsung Evo 1TB NvME. Used samsung migration tool to duplicate the o/s etc onto the new drive, removed the 256, put it in a drawer and continued on With boat loads of new storage space.

I then came across Ark Survival Evolved which is like 430GB so while I wait for another 1TB drive to arrive I thought I'd reinstall the original 256 ssd to squeeze and extra few games onto my laptop.

I installed the drive. In disk management found I had to right click and bring the drive 'online', formatted the 256ssd, let steam install a steam library on the drive and downloaded a couple of games and thought it was all good. Now when im switching on the laptop im straight into Windows Repair screen which can't fix the issue and gives me this error C:\Windows\System32\Logfiles\Srt\SrtTrail.txt.

I'm thinking it's having a conflict of which drive to boot from but I see no option to prioritise one drive over the other? Even in Bios I can't see anything. Only way around this is to only have 1nvme plugged in at a time.

Any suggestions are much appreciated.

If you saw the 256 in disk mgt then it must've booted OK right after you installed it.

Sounds like Steam or a downloaded game might've caused the issue.

Press and hold power button till laptop shuts off. Then unplug the charger. Look on the bottom for a battery disconnect pinhole and gently insert and press a paper clip into the pinhole for about a minute. If no pinhole, press and hold power button for about 15 seconds . Then reconnect the charger. Wait till battery charge LED indicates a full battery. Then try to turn it on again.
