I work in a school district that has around 300 Acer Spin chromebooks. Recently we are seeing a problem, where the bottom of the touchscreen is becoming so hot that it burns if touched there. Unfortunately these are no longer on warranty but otherwise in good condition. I am wondering if anyone else is experiencing this problem and if so are there any solutions? We have tried to replace the screen and the cable that it connects to.

We haven't seen any issues reported here like that. There have been problems with the keyboards but nothing heat related, especially with the touchscreen. Typical heat issues are tracable to the charging circuit, and since that all resides in the main body it wouldn't affect the screen.
