I seem to have an issue with my 5G gaming dongle but can't seem to find out what the attached error message means. Can anyone help/advise?

Which 5G gaming dongle do you have? They can likely point you are what the error message means.

Do this, as your dongle is setup wrongly.

Option 1: Try uninstalling / reinstalling the Wi-Fi adapter driver by following this procedure: Uninstall the driver for your wireless network adapter in Device Manager

NOTE: this is a none Microsoft website. The page appears to provide accurate and secure information. Beware of ads on the site that may advertise products often classified as PUPs (potentially unwanted products).

Option 2: Try to change the driver manually:

    1) Go to Device Manager> Network Adapters, right click on your network adapter> Update Driver.

    2) Select "Search my computer for drivers"

    3) Select "Choose from a list of drivers available on your computer"

    4) Windows will propose 2 or more compatible drivers for the network adapter in use, select a driver other than the one currently in use> Next. The driver will be installed automatically. Reboot the pc. Otherwise, if it's a laptop, download and then install the latest driver version available for your network adapter model from the pc manufacturer's website.

Option 3: Go to Settings> Network and Internet> Wi-Fi, right click on Manage known networks, select all the network profiles present and then click on Unregister or Forget this network. Then reconnect again by correctly re-entering the Wi-Fi password that is set on the router. Otherwise, connect to the router via a network cable or access it via another device, go to the Wi-Fi Settings page, search for Channel Width or Bandwidth and set to 20 MHz fixed. You can also try to manually change the Wi-Fi radio channel, setting 1, 6 or 11 for the 2.4 GHz band and 48,64,136 for the 5 GHz band or others.

    5G isn't WiFi steven, it's a cellular data connection.
