Where to download Acer Care Center and my model does not support the batter charging limit feature.

So I wanted to do battery life extension by turning on the charge limit thru Acer Care Center. I downloaded it through the Drivers page of my laptop's model. But then when I try to run it, it shows that message 'Acer Care Center is still initializing…' message. Reboot, still the same. Uninstall, reinstall, still the same. Then I searched and some said to use instead the version from MS Store. I tried to install it, but since there is one installed, I was just given the choice to 'Open' it. Same thing, that initializing message. Then I uninstalled the current version, and the version from MS Store was installed.

So it worked. Unfortunately, my model does not support the batter charging limit feature.

Anyway, for those who can't find 'Acer Care Center' in MS Store, it is at this time of writing, 'Care Center S'. This is the link: Care Center S.

So I wanted to do battery life extension

Only anecdotal evidence for this. It's primarily a marketing tool for those who still believe it makes a difference. The only statistically-significant difference a limiter make is that the battery will reach the critcal charge level quicker than if you start out with a fully charged battery.🙂

Don't bother installing this Acer Care Center app, you don't need it and some options are not compatible with W11 and run at the background using resources for no reason. Also the driver update and system recovery options are useless. I have it completely uninstalled also in the registry as it gave me nothing but trouble in W10 and W11. The other Acer program Quick Access Service (QASvc) is needed as you won't get on screen messages for Caps and Num locs (open or closed) but the Quick Access Updater can be disabled in Services and Task Scheduler. Note that you should disable the Power on USB port switch in Quick Access as this will drain the battery when the laptop is turned off.
