ACER Nitro 5 NO BIOS UPDATES in nearly 5 months now since 11/2022

My ACER Nitro 5 was bought in May 2022, had it for less than a year, and had no bios update for nearly 5 months.

Yet my DELL desktop of 2019 sits next to me, still getting BIOS Security updates today.

Another reason I will never buy an ACER computer again. You can see my posts about the failure of the Care Centre which is a waste of time.

Motherboards between the 2 brands are totally different; Acer will publish new BIOS/UEFI versions whenever there is a new adapter driver issue or a major Windows upgrade, if nothing has changed in the past year there will be no new BIOS version released by Acer. I have Acer Care center uninstalled you don't need that program. Security is managed by Defender in Windows and that is updated daily sometimes twice-a-day😉

Just in addition and for your information, as I don’t think that you realise allot about what a bios does, and the reason for your Dell laptop needing all those bios updates, is because when it was released, it was an inferior product than your Acer Nitro 5 laptop for either Win-10 or Win-11 OS. The less you need to update a laptops bios and you can run the software’s and games perfectly on a laptop or desktop, the better it is. The thumb rule with a bios update is this, you don’t need to update a bios update like you do a software, as its unnecessary if your laptop operates perfectly, you only update bios if you have a problem with the specific problem that the bios titled update fixes.

hI @GadgetShowTech what model do you have exactly?
As you have been told, the number of BIOS updates does not indicate a better service, rather, quite the opposite, the less there is to correct a computer through a BIOS update, it indicates that the hardware is more refined.
Also, many of the improvements that BIOS updates bring are not for security or hardware bugs, they are simply enhancements to other languages or information.
