Hi!
I have an ACER Swift sf315-52. It's had its problems for quite some time (related to starting up) but now it is definitely having a big issue. I read quite a lot of pages of this forum about the blue and orange LED indicators but could not find an answer to my issue, so I'm starting my own thread. If answered before please let me know!
So this morning the computer's been turned on but left at the side for a minute and it fell asleep. Trying to get it back alive failed; we noticed that both the blue lights and orange lights were on even when unplugging the charger. Pressing the power button for 20+ seconds didn't give any results too. So I started digging into the open threads on this forum and learned about the reset hole & paperclip. So we tried that and it successfully did turn off both LEDs.
Now putting the power supply back in the computer gives the orange LED, and putting it out extinguishes it, which is good. But we tried (after waiting +-15 minutes with charger in) putting the laptop on, and both LEDs turned on (which is normal from my understanding) but nothing appeared on the screen. And again, unplugging the charger doesn't affect the orange LED (which should go out). It is not screen related as far as I understand, as the keyboard backlights would go on. Also the fact both LEDs stay on lets me think the computer is kind of stuck in a loop.
We now just did another paperclip reset, and are charging the computer. In a few minutes, we will be trying to put the computer on without the charger plugged in. I will post an update, but I'm fairly confident it will not work unfortunately. Also, I'd like to know how this happened in order to avoid it happens again. Could someone please help me out?
Thanks a lot!!
