how do I either create a new administrator account or change my user account back to an administrato

when i originally set up the computer i set up two administrator accounts, not knowing one from the other, I recently changed them both to user accounts on the advice of a help topic "which account is best for me". when trying to install norton anti virus I get a message telling me to type an administrator password. I am unable to change the user accounts or create a new administrator account. I get the same message, to type an administrator password to continue. The computer is an Aspire One725-0826 with windows8. wondering if anyone has a trick to share

    Windows 8 will not let you remove all of the Administrator accounts, it requires at least one. 

    The last Administrator account will have "Standard" greyed out.  It will not let you change it.

     

    Go to Control Panel, User Accounts and Manage Accounts

    You should be able to see all of the accounts and the types.

    You should have at least one Administrator account.
