    Hi,

You need to rest the laptop for 15-20 Minutes after the reset, do not try to start the laptop immediately.

I agree with brummyfan2, a waiting period after these resets helps, my 4 year old Aspire5 recovered (I hope) from this "not starting problem" but it took months to get it "fixed". I got the best results by disconnecting the battery cable and keeping the Power Button depressed for several minutes then starting up first without the power adapter plugged in. After the power failure happened again (a few weeks later) I decided not to shut down anymore; I disabled Fast Start up in my Balanced Power Plan, enabled Hibernate in the Start menu (Power Button) and have been able to start ever since for weeks in a row now. Hibernate is also faster than Fast Startup (I have a HDD), no blinking lights like in sleep mode and I get all Event and diagnosis info just like a fresh boot (normal Shutdown). I even hide "Shutdown" from the Start menu in the Windows11 Registry so I cannot press Shutdown by mistake. I also increased the HDD shutdown time (Advanced Power settings) to 30 minutes for both the battery and on adapter as I read on MS Answers forum that Never (0) or long shutdown times for the HDD is recommended for hibernate to enable storing the last system state on the HDD at any time.

Not sure if perhaps my 4 year old motherboard is getting too old (the PSU part) or Acer’s original W10 firmware is not fully compatible with the latest W11 22H2 power features (or just some Static Buildup on the MOBO), I replaced the battery, fan, power adapter and HDD, but dropped the laptop a few times and that may have something to do with my power problems also. I will get a new (high end) laptop end of this year as my hinge also cracked (cannot close the lid) and I would like a brighter screen instead of 250 nits (TN panel).

By 'pin' do you mean you used a pin to push the battery reset button under the laptop, or do yoou mean you put a Personal ID Number into the Windows login box?
