Hello,

What happens if I charge the Spin 513 using the 2 USB charging ports that are on each side of the Chromebook, at the same time?

Thank you,

Regards,

Please don't try it. Likely some Acer engineer has thought about the possibility that someone would try it, but the potential for a problem is much higher than I'd be comfortable with. I assume your model is the CP513-2H. The two ports are connected to the motherboard through different methods, the right side has a ribbon cable between the USB daughter card and the motherboard, the left side is soldered directly to the MB. Hopefully that means the worse that could happen is a fried daughterboard when the two chargers went to war, but much more likely is one charger would just be shut down and the other one used.

Hi @adr electronically speaking, it is not good to carry out this process, you could damage the battery, also, we do not know if the other port supports power, if it is not supported, you could also harm the port.
    A cordial greeting.

    Thank you.

As I said, both ports are charging ones.

It would be better to have an answer from someone who owns the Spin 513 h2.

Yes, okay, wait for more answers from other users with the same model or with more knowledge about batteries.
In my opinion, if both ports are charging and can supply the same power, use only one for charging, using both, besides being able to cause problems, the electronics of laptops do not support the addition of currents.
    All the best.

Yes, I don't think I'll try to plug a charger on each USB port at the same time.

I have a Spin 513-2H and there is no way I am going to try and charge it through both USB C ports at the same time. I'm assuming you're looking for a sucker to do it so you can find out if it's safe. Step up, try it, and let us know how it turns out.

I would like to add, the Spin 513 is a recent purchase for me. I've had two Spin 713s and earlier I had a Samsung and an HP and a Lenovo Duet. The Spin 513 is the best chromebook of the bunch.
