I looked at the insides of my Nitro 5 and the socket on the motheboard where the battery connects to it has bent and destroyed pins, keeping the battery from connecting to the MB, thus making the laptop not turn on. Is there any way to replace the socket and/or terminals?

The battery motherboard plug is not listed on the AN515-54s SG by Acer, this plug is soldered onto the mobo and needs micro soldering tools and a microscope to remove and replaced with a new plug, this can only be done by an experienced technician that has all the tools and can get the appropriate battery plug that Acer uses for this laptop.

Its best to contact Acer tech support first and ask them if they have this battery plug or get the part number from them, and if they do this sort of a job? Otherwise you need to find a tech in your area who can get a similar plug and replace the damaged oem battery plug on your laptop with another plug.
