My Acer laptop has been experiencing several issues

My Acer laptop has been experiencing several issues lately, making it almost impossible to use. The laptop keeps shutting down unexpectedly, and when it does start up, it takes a long time to load, and programs are slow to respond. Furthermore, the laptop's fans are running at full speed, making a loud noise that is distracting and annoying.

I have tried several troubleshooting steps, including running antivirus scans, updating drivers and software, and checking for hardware issues, but none of these have resolved the problem. I have also performed a system restore to an earlier point, but this did not help either.

I suspect that the problem may be related to the laptop's hardware, such as the motherboard or the hard drive, but I'm not sure how to diagnose and fix the issue. I don't have any experience with laptop repairs, and I'm worried about damaging the laptop further if I attempt to fix it myself.

I'm reaching out to the Acer community for any advice or suggestions on how to resolve these issues. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi @mitcheeyy

We need to know when you bought your laptop, what model number (complete model numbers) what Windows version was installed originally and did you upgrade to a later version Windows, what is your BIOS version and how did you do all your upgrades (Windows, 3rd party or Acer). How much free space is on your HDD, did you defrag your drive recently? What DDR memory modules do you have in the slot(s) and have you (added) any PCIe SSDs. A picture taken with your phone from all the BIOS screens will also help. Open Event Viewer and make a screen dump of all the errors (no need to expand each error, just a general list)

You can diagnose your mechanical HDD with HWINFO (freeware) https://www.hwinfo.com

Disabling most programs in Start (Task Manager) will help and also check what your memory does (%).
