Orion 7000 water cooling fan size

Hi, having just received my Orion 7000 and the size of the fan installed also why the spare bay is empty when Acer could have installed two fans instead of the one. I am not a PC builder, so does anyone know that if I payed for the labour and parts that Acer would install a second fan or two larger ones. As this computer is only a few days old and under guarantee I would prefer if Acer would do it.

im pretty sure they dont do that, you have to yourself and its easy, most users removed that 120mm cooler and put a 240mm up top, that single fan is a 5000 rpm and its very loud and most users dont like it lol, so with that being said those are your options and the extra fan you read about is supposed to go on the top side of the radiator and not the empty slot, so it would be a push pull config, bottom fan pushes air up through the radiator and then the top fan removes it out, but you could also add a fan in the open spot for exhaust also, but for what that 7000 costs as much as i love acer i went with a 5000 and just put in an air cooler for less than half the money, what model 7000 did you get the i7 or i9 ?

yes u can do either or, attach one to the top of the radiator and the open spot, the 5000 and 7000 share the same exact case, i have 2x120mm fans on the top as exhaust and if ya dont like that aio cooler and or its fan both can be easily replaced, ask as many questions you can, we are here to help ok, its an amazing community here and welcome btw !!@!!

Thanks for your reply, I however am 72 years old and don't fancy delving into a brand new PC. I assume if I took it to a computer shop that would invalidate my guarantee if something messed up down the road. This is why I queried if Acer would do it, because when my laptop display died they repaired it and also at my request put in a bigger and faster M.2 drive of which of course I had to pay labour charges on top of the cost of the drive and screen replacement as the guarantee had run out

ok then call them, i didnt know they did those things, around here there are no acer centers, so i go through bestbuy and geeksquad for questions, but do all repairs and additions myself, with the help of the great team of experts here, im 56 and was able to do it, so if i can so can you, but i understand if you dont want to and can afford someone to do it for you its all good, keep us posted on what you decide to do and tc n be safe.

Warranty is different for different locales, but usually if they allow a customer to do internal upgrades then having a computer repair shop do them for you wouldn't void the warranty. Before you dot hat though, is it overheating? If not why spend the money for an extra fan when one isn't needed? I'm running my Predator Orion 5000 with the stock cooling and not seeing any issues with heat. I'm not doing the heaviest gaming though, so don't need the extras that a lot of users here require.

well, billsey i cannot speak for anyone but myself, but if we can upgrade why not do it i say, i was only getting 63C on my 5000 when gaming, now 43C after upgrades, im a new gamer not playing any crazy intense games, im running @ 1080P 240 hz, so i said what the heck why not do a few cheap and simple upgrades and thats what i did, added the tower cooler from Noctua, then 2 extra fans up top, i also removed a few things in the way not needed for better air flow, upgraded the memory to max, now my pc rocks and is super cool temp wise, and it made me happier and since my pc was 450 dollars off when i bought it, im still under what it normally costs and im not done, going to put a new PSU in and MB so we can make adjustments we cant now and with each upgrade i have noticed it makes my pc run cooler and better, so yeah if someone wants to do upgrades or wants more why discourage them from doing it? that makes no sense because we can only make them better with each upgrade we do, they all come with subpar cooling for gaming even the 7000 series.

It comes down to your pocketbook… Mine tends to be thin, so I try not to do upgrades that I don't need. :) That being said, I do have four monitors and a Mixed Reality headset on mine, two monitors at 240Hz and two at 60Hz.
