My aspire V5 will start and then says critical process. I cant get pass this stage.

I have an Aspire V5 small laptop which I bought in 2013. It was windows 8 and over time I converted to windows 10. It worked smashing and it was a very handy laptop. Then one day it started and a message said the critical process had died. I tried restarting and returning to a previous date none worked.

It did ask me to input my password which I did and it would not accept it. Saying I had to change the password in windows which I did on another computer. Tried to input the new password did not work. I tried to change the password on the screen nothing.

I left the computer for ages yr or two but now I need it fixed. So how do I get past the critical process?

Read this Microsoft Answer post resetting and updating BIOS solved the problem.
