Refused warranty work due to non-existent insect/rodent evidence

Never buy from Acer. I had a Chromebook for less than 2 years and it no longer powers up. I sent it in to be repaired and they aborted the repair and mailed it back. It had some surface scratches and the screen had very few smudges. They said it was aborted due to evidence of rodent or insect or their remains. I took the back off the computer and the inside was pristine. Even the keyboard had very little dust. Thanks for nothing.

Likely they cleaned it for you… If the damage was caused by environmental factors, such a bugs getting into the motherboard area and shorting something out, it wouldn't be covered under warranty and they would do just what they did, offered you a repair at your own cost and returned it if you didn't want to pay.
