Bluetooth not working in Acer Spin 513-53N

Hello everyone,

Recently, I got this laptop (Acer Spin 513-53N) from my company and the only bluetooth device I had at that moment were my Boat Airdopes 411. I tried connecting them to the laptop and they did connect. However, since around two weeks, I was unable to connect new bluetooth devices. I tried connecting a Microsoft Designer Mouse, but it did not connect. I tested the mouse with other laptops and desktops and it did connect to them. Thereafter, I unpaired my earphones and tried reconnecting them but the only message I received was -"Failed. Please try connecting your device again."

Upon checking the driver in the Device Manager, the event tab of "Intel Wireless Bluetooth" shows the following:

Device USB\VID_8087&PID_0AAA\5&3b280c7f&0&10 had a problem starting.

Driver Name: oem35.inf
Class Guid: {e0cbf06c-cd8b-4647-bb8a-263b43f0f974}
Service: BTHUSB
Lower Filters: ibtusb
Upper Filters:
Problem: 0x0
Problem Status: 0xC00000E5

I have tried the following solutions:

  1. Using CCleaner to update the drivers.
  2. Using Intel Driver Tool to update the driver.
  3. Rolling back the driver to the oldest possible version.
  4. Rolling back the driver by uninstalling it and using a downloaded driver file from Intel website, as well as Acer website.
  5. Uninstalling the driver and rebooting my laptop for it to install the same automatically.

If I roll back the driver or install an older version, the starting problem is not there but it still does not connect.

I am happy to provide any further information, logs, etc. Kindly help. Thank You,

If you have done all the above, and the Boat Airdopes 411 and Microsoft Designer Mouse work 100%, then the problem is with the Intel® Wi-Fi 6 AX201 Wi-Fi/BT card that is in your laptop and its defective and not working, buy a new card or even upgrade to the newer Intel Killer AX1650i that I have in my Nitro AN515-56 as that works perfectly and is a good card, as both of these cards will work in your Spin SP513-53N laptop and the Intel® Driver & Support Assistant (if this is what you have installed in your laptop) as this Intel scan will update their drivers to their latest Intel drivers that should work 100% with your laptop.

Note the 'i' in Steven's suggestion. You need either an 'i' or 's' for your system, the 'e' and 'x' will not work.
