I have a Nitro AN515-55 that's started experiencing ghosting issue where the lower part of the screen is glitching from time to time. I have tried changing the refresh rate, upgrading from Win10 to Win11, and then uninstalling Windows altogether in favour of Ubuntu, but the problem persists. However, it does not seem to occur on an external monitor. Is there something I can do myself to fix it? The warranty has expired. Thank you in advance.

Those symptoms are NOT software related, its a hardware related issue, like a loosely connected eDP cable plug at either the screen end or the mobo end has come lose or its data pins are faulty at either plugs. There is nothing that you can do, as by saying that “However, it does not seem to occur on an external monitor” means that its definitely your laptops either eDP cable and plugs or the actual screen is failing, which a faulty screen should not be happening to such a new laptop. Below are the appropriate parts that you should look at and if they need replacing these are the parts needed.

    Hello!!

Flickering / glitches is usually caused by a software issue which can be caused by glitches in apps or software bugs. To best protect your device, make sure to update the software so that it is running the latest operating system and has the latest security updates installed.

Have you checked the edp cable on the motherboard and on the display? Try to reinstall the display adapters to check if that makes the display better
