ACER Nitro AN517-42 Adding a second M.2 SSD my laptop wouldn't boot.
I have a new ACER Nitro AN517-42 and it came with a WD 500GB WD M.2. I wanted to add a second SSD and I had a spare M.2 SSD 1TB which I installed with no problem. I booted immediately in BIOS, checked to see if the computer recognized the new drive. Yes it did. I then saved the BIOS (F-10) and exited. 3 days later my laptop wouldn't boot. I'd turn it on and the Acer logo appeared and it stopped there - it would not boot into windows. Then I decided to boot directly into the BIOS once again to see if anything had changed. Both drives were recognized. I exited the BIOS and boom, Windows booted. However, from a cold start Windows would not boot until I went back into the BIOS 1st, then exited and then windows would boot. Did I miss something? Is there a MB DIP switch I need to flip? I can't figure this out.
