How can I connect this laptop to 2 External monitors? I have not been able to do this successfully. I can only connect 1 External Monitor via HDMI and use my Laptop screen as the 2nd display. I would like to do this. I have tried so many different combinations of connectors but failing. Please assist.

Thank you.

Angela

You likely don't want to use a HDMI splitter, since that will just give you two monitors with the same image displayed on both. You do have both USB 3.0 and USB-C ports on your Aspire V3-372T, though the USB-C is an early design that doesn't support DP Alt Mode. You can purchase a USB 3.0 dock with HDMI to connect the second external monitor or one of the USB-C docks that doesn't require DP Alt Mode. Either will give you the capability to run the second external monitor and have Windows extend to it for full functionality.

Connecting 2x monitors to 1x HDMI 1.4a port that your laptop has is easy, read this guide Run Dual Monitors With One HDMI Port you need to buy a HDMI Splitter that has a 1 HDMI plug that goes to your laptop and splits into 2x HDMI ports that you need 2x HDMI cables to connect to the hub, its a simple connection but you also need to make sure that the change the windows settings have changed to dual monitors also.

To start your dual monitor setup, you will need to ensure that your second monitor is plugged into a power source and connected to your computer via an HDMI, DisplayPort, or USB-C cable. Thank you all for your reply. Unfortunately "SteveGen & LunaNova14" your suggestion did not work for me.

What worked for me was "Billsey" suggestion USB 3.0 to HDMI Adapter for Multiple Monitors 1080P Compatible with Windows XP/7/8/10. I am good go now with my dual monitor setup.
