My predator Helios 300 ph315-51(i7 8th gen) is not performing as it was a week ago at that time it was able to run games like cod ww2 or dying light etc without a problem.
It used to heat a lot though..so i recently changed the thermal paste myself as i thought it might help.
Surprisingly enough it did work and my temperature is in a good shape now but the problem is about the performance.
It's not able to run those same games anymore and it keeps lagging and almost unplayable when playing on 1080p.
Just for the record i changed the 1tb hdd with a 500gb ssd as well and the game was running on that ssd. It used to run smoothly previously but not anymore.
Can anybody help me about the situation?

Update the NVidia graphics driver and with the new software delete the previous driver also, install GeForce Experience as COD WW2 and Dying Light is included in the GeForce Games Supported list for NVidia's ultimate settings, also go to NVidia Control Panel >Program Settings> and set all these games to use the High-performance NVidia processor, also install the Intel® Driver & Support Assistant and do the scan and update all Intel drivers and also have all the windows Updates up to date. Try all that as doing that will improve your laptops performance for gaming.
