Spin 3, SP314-51 Battery not charging and stop charging.

I have a Spin 3, SP314-51-57DN

My battery stopped charging so I bought a new one. It is the correct battery and is installed correctly however, this new battery will not charge either. The ;aptop will work OK when plugged but, although I have 59% in the battery, when I disconnect the mains power lead, the laptop immediately shuts down. I have updated the drivers and BIOS, but this has not resolved, any other ideas. I think now that maybe the original battery was OK and I needn't have gone to the expense of buying a brand new battery.

Any ideas or suggestions of what I can do?

Hi @HarryMojo If the battery is compatible with the equipment and does not charge either, the problem may be in the power supply or in the laptop's internal charging circuit, in these cases it is best to have the equipment checked by a technical service.

Hi,

Switch off the laptop, disconnect from Mains, follow the instructions in the video, leave the laptop to rest for few minutes, reconnect AC adapter and fully charge the battery before trying to start the laptop.
