Acer Predator Helios 300 - Windows 11 22h2 update issues 3/14/23

I begrudgingly updated my Acer Predator Helios 300 to the most recent Windows 11 22h2 and have quickly unconvered some problems. I am an active gamer and it was not detecting my GPU. I have an nvidia geforce rtx 3060. So I had to manually tell it to detect it in settings. got that fixed, but when I open my predator sense to see my temperatures and CPU/GPU usage, my GPU usage is stuck on -1% GPU usage. It is normal when idle, but when I open any games now, it's completely stuck at -1%. I do not know if this is a visual bug, or if something else Windows 11 22h2 has messed up. I've searched online everywhere and there's no mention of this. I am wondering if I should system restore to my previous as it was working perfectly fine. please help!

Windows Updates doesn’t update the NVidia drivers to their latest driver version, download and install the latest Nvidia driver for the RTX3060 from NVidia, its the GeForce Game Ready Driver Version: 531.18 WHQL for Win-11, when you start the installation of this driver, use the Advanced section of the driver and do a Clean Install of this driver, as that uninstalls all previous drivers of any NVidia driver on your laptop. Also if you play games its best that you use the NVidia GeForce Experience ultimate game settings for the games that you play, as NVidia has a very wide range of included games for their ultimate settings, also set these games in NVidia Control Panel at Program Settings to High-performance NVidia processor. Also install the Intel® Driver & Support Assistant as this software also installs the latest Intel drivers for all the Intel components in your laptop which windows update doesn’t and it will make your laptop perform allot better.

I have the most updated drivers. My Predator Sense is not detecting the correct CPU/GPU usage.

maybe your OS is corrupted after updating especially if it is not licensed (pirated)

update your predatorsense to the latest version

clean installation of Windows 11 22h2 is better compared to upgrade or update

try System Restore to see if the problem is solved

Nothing of mine is pirated. I contacted Windows support and they also said to just restore to before the 2h22 update lol and then said to show them the troubleshoot, which I haven't done and probably won't do. and i think Predator Sense is the most updated version.

did system restore, but it automatically installed again and it's just waiting for me to restart. i paused updates for 5 weeks and tomorrow is the end of the 5 weeks. i've contacted Windows countless times and they keep saying to update my drivers which I have already done. is there any way to pause it for longer? i have a system restore point from the like 4 weeks ago, but it isn't before 22h2. really frustrating.

It is almost impossible to stop W11 22H2 from automatically updating your drivers, you can block some KBs but you will have to keep doing that every 2 weeks or so😐️

Upgrade to Windows 11 Pro is a solution as you can disable driver installs using Group Policy, there are also registry tweaks suggested but make sure you backup your registry before trying that:
