Acer spin 5 spin 5 sp513-54n microphone array not working

So I've had this laptop (spin 5 sp513-54n-74v2) for almost two years now and I love it, but I've only been able to get the microphone to work a handful of times. I've gone through all the troubleshooting. I've made sure it's set up correctly in “settings” I've tried updating the driver with no success, it won't allow me to roll back the driver, and this happens almost every time they update windows. Sometimes I can get it to work by uninstalling and reinstalling the driver, but not every time. Does anybody know a better solution?

I suggest that you install the Intel® Driver & Support Assistant and do a scan of your laptops OS, so that you have the latest Intel drivers with this Intel software scan, it updates the Intel graphics, chipset and audio also and it updates the “Intel® Smart Sound Technology for Digital Microphones” that governs the laptops microphone, you must have corrupted this driver and it needs to be reinstalled for it to work 100%.

Thanks for your help! Unfortunately that does not seem to be it. It did improve a little; My microphone now picks up noises when I move my computer, but nothing else.
