Hello.

Four days ago i have bought Acer Nitro 5 AN515-58. When i open the lid using finger in the middle it makes quitet clicking sound during the process (in the middle of the process). Does your nitro 5 makes the same sound or is it something wrong with mine. Previous generation had problems with hinges so i am little woried.

The Nitro laptops should not be making any clicking noises when opening or closing the lid, I've got an AN515-56 and its never ever made any clicking noises while opening or closing the lid, its always is and been very smooth and quite.

Your laptop is under 12 months warranty and if your lid is in any way hard to close or making any clicking noises from its lid hinges or from underneath the laptop, there is a component that is hitting the top lid to make those noises, don't open the laptop as it will void your warranty, get Acer to repair this fault under warranty.

Below is the place that needs inspecting as the base of the hinge could be lose or the actual hinge could be defective on your AN515-58 laptop.
